RoboGolfPro at AT&T Pebble Beach National Pro-Am and Allianz Championship Tournament

Main Blog ImageThe next week is going to be very exciting for the RoboGolfPro, with robots at both the Allianz Championship Tournament and the AT&T Pebble Beach National Pro-Am. Scot W.R. Nei will be at Pebble Beach, offering instruction on the RoboGolfPro.  In Boca Raton at the Allianz Championship, the instructor for the RoboGolfPro will be Stefanie Kenoyer.  If you are going to be at either of these tournaments, make sure that you stop by and book time on the RoboGolfPro. Lori Heller of Heller Productions Inc.  will be in Boca Raton with the RoboGolfPro as well as golfing in the Executive Women’s Pro Am.  Also at the Boca Raton tournament will be Garet Dagg from Del Mar Country Club in San Diego, who will be offering instruction during the event. As well, Valeria Ocheo from the Latin America Golf Channel will joining Lori at the Pro Am. Good Luck to all those playing in the tournaments!

Allianz Championship

AllianzWhere: The Old Course at Broken Sound, 1401 NW 51st St., Boca Raton; Par 72, 6,807 yards

Who: The 81-player field includes 27 of the top 30 money winners from the 2013 Champions Tour. Defending champion Rocco Mediate is back, along with past winners Corey Pavin, Jim Thorpe, Tom Lehman, Bernhard Langer and Mike Goodes. Players making their Champions Tour debut include former PGA Tour winners Billy Andrade and Wes Short Jr. Among those playing the Allianz for the first time are Hall of Famer Colin Montgomerie and PGA Tour winners Rick Fehr, Brian Henninger and John Inman. Also entered are Player of the Year Kenny Perry, Curtis Strange, Fred Funk, Mark Calcavecchia and Peter Jacobsen.

When: Championship Pro-Ams are at 7:15 a.m. and 12:45 p.m. Wednesday and Thursday. Tournament play is slated to begin at 10:10 a.m. Friday and Saturday and at 9 a.m. Sunday.

Prize money: The purse is $1.6 million with the winner getting $240,000.

Admission: Free for pro-ams, $20 on tournament days and free for ages 65 and older and those under 17.

TV coverage: Live coverage on Golf Channel is 12:30-2:30 p.m. Friday and 3-5 p.m. Saturday and Sunday.

The AT&T Pebble Beach National Pro-Am

The AT&T Pebble Beach National Pro-Am is a 72-hole PGA TOUR golf championship dating back to the 1930s when Bing Crosby gathered a ‘few friends’ to raise money for charity…and have a little fun.

Pebble-BeachTop TOUR professionals’ team with Hollywood celebrities, world renowned musicians and the captains of industry as they compete for a $6.5 million purse. Foursomes rotate to MPCC Shore Course, Spyglass Hill Golf Course and Pebble Beach Golf Links Thursday through Saturday. The infamous ‘cut’ is made on Saturday night and the leading 60 professionals and 25 pro-am teams play Pebble Beach Golf Links on Sunday for the championship.
