Robert Tuchman founded TSE Sports & Entertainment in 1997, a sports and entertainment marketing company with operating divisions focused on athlete marketing, event management, promotion, and hospitality. The company went on to be named to the Inc. 500, Promotion 100, and Special Event 50 lists on multiple occasions over a nine year period.

TSE was sold to private equity firm Pfingsten Partners in 2006 and was renamed Premiere Global Sports (PGS). TSE became the platform company for PGS, a midsize sports marketing agency with offices throughout the United States and Europe.

As part of Premiere Global Sports, Tuchman assisted in acquiring several other companies, forming one of the largest sports specific hospitality and event companies in the United States. In February of 2011, after five years with PGS, Tuchman left to form Goviva. Tuchman is also an author, although not a good one. He wrote “100 Sporting Events You Must See Live”, published by Benbella Books on April 1, 2009. He also is the author of “Young Guns: The Fearless Entrepreneur’s Guide to Chasing Your Dreams and Breaking Out on Your Own”, published by AMACOM Publishing in June of 2009.

He is an active board member of the ALS Chapter of Greater New York and also sits on the Sports and Arts in School Foundation Speakers Board. He lives in New York City. Robert’s favorite experiences in his own words:

My own personal favorite once-in-a-lifetime experiences include attending Game 7 of the 1994 Stanley Cup Finals at Madison Square Garden as well as being at Game 7 of the Eastern Conference Finals against the Devils that same year. Going to the 2007 Super Bowl in Arizona with my father in-law a die hard Giants fan was another awesome experience. I was also really fortunate to see the Yankees clinch the World Series in 1996 sitting with my dad in the right field stands. I also can’t leave out a great non sporting event experience I had in 2003 when I took a multi-sport adventure trip to Costa Rica. It was one of my all time favorite trips.

The ultimate experience that I have not yet had the chance to see and may never is the New York Jets playing in the Super Bowl. I would do anything to see that one one day.

After seven successful years with TSE, Sklar was made the only other partner in the business and was awarded ownership in the company. He was instrumental in the sale of TSE in 2006 to private equity firm Pfingsten Partners. He then worked as an Executive Vice President of Premiere Global Sports, overseeing the Sales and Marketing Operations for the Corporate Division.

His passions include the Arizona Wildcats, nutrition and health, drinking (mostly wine these days), rafting, and hiking.

Brett’s favorite experiences in his own words:

I’m always asked by friends and family, so what event is your favorite Brett? Most people think it has to be Super Bowl or the Masters or seeing my beloved Arizona Wildcats win the NCAA Championship, but to their surprise my favorite event has to be the Kentucky Derby.

I love the Kentucky Derby. It is the most fun as there is no better party than that weekend in Louisville. Seeing all the beautiful ladies dressed up with their hats, betting on horses and drinking a few Mint Julips.

I think the only thing that could ever top the Derby would be if the Cats could win or actually just plain go to the Rose Bowl.

Will’s favorite experiences in his own words:

One of my most memorable experiences that I have been able to cross off the bucket list has to be the 2002 US Open at Bethpage. If you know my love for golf, you might expect The Masters to be at the top of my list, but not for this New Yorker. The host course, Bethpage Black is a public course and all it takes to get a tee time is a night of camping out in your car. I have spent many nights out in the Bethpage parking lot, so I was looking forward to seeing what Tiger, Phil and the rest of the pros were going to do on my local course. I took in the final three rounds with my dad and brother. We heckled Sergio and gave Tiger some of our local course knowledge. It was an amazing experience and one I’ll never forget.

One experience that I haven’t been able to check off yet would be my ultimate golf vacation. I’m talking about two weeks spilt between Scotland & Ireland. The Old Course at St. Andrews, Kingsbarn, and Carnoustie then off to Ireland to try my luck at Ballybunion, Tralee, Old Head, and Waterville. It’s a lot of golf, but I’ll make sure to leave some time to take in some of the sights and not to mention pints.
