Featured Experience: Redstone Winery

For Heller Productions wine is much more than our drink of choice. For us it is a passion, a hobby and even more – the foundation for many of our bespoke events. Our years of experience have provided us with access to some of the finest wines from around the world. Whether it is our client offering their guests pours from their own collection or our preferred wine vendor (and world class importer) Halpern Wine hand selecting bottles, we ensure our events offer the finest selections of both reds and whites. However, every so often we have the opportunity to manage an event at a winery allowing us combine our two passions, wine and events!

Recently we had the opportunity to plan an exclusive event for a client of ours at Redstone Winery in Niagara Falls, Ontario. Our client was looking to host an intimate dining experience for their top clients following a two-day conference taking place in Niagara. While some may have sourced a private room at a local restaurant, we chose to take things one step further and create a high end and exclusive event – the type of evening that these special clients deserved.

Redstone Winery is the second endeavor in Ontario by Moray Tawse – owner of the award winning ‘Tawse Winery’ in the same region (winner of Canadian Winery of the Year in 2010, 2011 and 2012). In addition to owning land in Ontario, Moray Tawse is the proprietor of wineries in both Argentina and Burgundy. Named after the red soil that breeds the delectable wines, Redstone merges old world with new world in everything from their wine to the estates architecture.

After being greeted by our staff, we escorted the client and their guests via private limo bus 30 minutes East of Niagara Falls to the town of Lincoln aka Vineland! Upon arrival guests were greeted with glasses of Redstone Sparkling before being taken on a private tour of the vineyard by winemaker Rene Van Ede. After completing their tour guests were then treated to a blind tasting, where the Redstone Chardonnay and Redstone Pinot Noir were tasted against their counterparts from the Tawse winery in Burgundy, France. Following the blind tasting guest were moved into the restaurant space of Redstone, a vast room with floor to ceiling windows which combined with the sunset provided a perfect backdrop for a stunning seven course meal.
